The land of Lucid Dream Minigolf has fallen into darkness. Over the last couple of years, a great force disrupted the lives of many, increasing feelings of isolation and disconnection. Emerging from this darkness is the Mutant Swamp Monster. A creature feeling behind, delayed, and not where they thought they would be at this point in their mid-swampy-monster-life. Driven by the fear of never having enough time, the Mutant Swamp Monster has stolen Time the Gnome of Infinity, a magical gnome responsible for the flow of time itself. The land of Lucid Dream Minigolf is in peril! Without Time, the land of Lucid Dream Minigolf will grow stagnant and lifeless.
Now it is up to you! You must go on a quest to search for and free Time by playing holes made from your own personal past (Pyramid of What Was), present (Abyss of What Is), and future (Winds of What May Be). Share memories, share hopes and dreams. Shift your relationship with time and defeat the Mutant Swamp Monster that lurks somewhen within.

In Search of Lost Time
Navigate three Holes
-
The Pyramid of What Was (Hole 1)
the past
A minigolf course made of nostalgia that beckons one to the way things were. Whether the rose-tinted memories contained within empower or ensnare is a matter of debate. Regardless, this behemoth is a force to be reckoned with. A player can approach their past in different ways. Some players may want to face their past head on and attempt to directly pass through. Other players may want to skirt around their past—though beware, you may wind up examining it from all angles. To visit the Pyramid of What Was can be positive and inform how to move toward a desired future, but to linger too long with the Pyramid of What Was is to hinder growth and progress.
-
The Abyss of What Is (Hole 2)
the present
A minigolf course as precarious as your attention span. To be present is to be mindful of one’s environment. To be fully present is to open your eyes a little wider, see the bigger picture in front of you, and realize this course may be easier than you think.
In the Abyss of What Is you will find the Creatures of Neverhere feeding on our attention spans.
Submerged in the depths of the Abyss of What Is lies the Club of Chaos. A player’s decisions are their own. The human capacities for agency and choice are fundamental to our wellbeing. Yet, so much of what happens to us is outside of our control: the culture and country we are born into, our families, our DNA, forces of nature. The Club of Chaos is imbued with these forces that are outside of our control. Sometimes the Club of Chaos helps us, at other times it hinders us. We don’t get to choose which way the Club of Chaos swings, but we can choose to recognize its impact on ourselves and others, and how we react to its influence.

The Winds of What May Be (Hole 3)
the future
A minigolf course full of infinite potential, of hopes, of dreams. Ever-shifting, the future is not always what it seems to be. Our past does not determine our future, but learning from and re-imagining symbols of our past experiences may hold the key to expanding our minds and enable us to move beyond the borders and boundaries of what we think is possible.
Sometimes what players hope for on Winds of What May Be doesn't come true. They get caught in an infinite loop of pipe dreams. When players’ hopes don’t come true, do they give up? Or, can they find another way to move forward and play that goes beyond what they think is possible?
On the Winds of What May Be, you will find:
Small gnomes that live on the course and underground. Diligent workers, they tend to have genial dispositions and are known for being helpful. Whether watering plants, resodding greens, or tending to new holes, they are almost always tinkering around the course, committed to leaving the world a better place than they found it.
The Mutant Swamp Monster, a deformed alligator-like creature feeling behind, delayed, and not where they thought they would be at this point in their mid-swampy-monster life.
Time the Gnome of Infinity, a single gnome, and three consubstantial gnomes, they are the eternal keepers of time’s impermanence.
The Pyramidion, the capstone missing from the Pyramid of What Was, a symbol from our past that we could learn from and look to for guidance in our future.

Time the Gnome of Infinity
A gnome and three consubstantial gnomes. The three gnomes are distinct, yet make up one substance, essence, or nature. They are the eternal keepers of time’s impermanence. Contemplative and bittersweet, they are filled with a deep appreciation for life and its passing. Time is dazzlingly powerful because it simultaneously never lasts and is everlasting. An infinite and continuous stream of fleeting moments.
Embodying the fleetingness of the past (bottom), the present (middle), and the future (top), Time the Gnome of Infinity contains the warm beauty and gentle wistfulness of a late-summer sunset on your face as the last ray of sun kisses you goodbye over the horizon.

Mutant Swamp Monster
A deformed alligator-like creature feeling behind, delayed, and not where they thought they would be at this point in their mid-swampy-monster life. Flushed down a toilet by a high-strung neglectful owner in Manhattan, the Mutant Swamp Monster swam up the Hudson River seeking refuge. Driven by the fear of never being good enough or having enough time, the Mutant Swamp Monster has captured Time the Gnome of Infinity.
In its youth, the swamp monster lived in sewers of the city, going above ground at night to scavenge through garbage. As the swamp monster grew it made its way upriver: by day sleeping in the wetlands along the Hudson, by night creeping into villages to raid trash cans, chicken coops, and dino herds--often the cause of mischief that is misattributed to raccoons, opossums, and foxes. Due to its exposure to the Hudson river’s toxic chemicals, the Mutant Swamp Monster emits a telltale smell and bioluminescent glow at night. Beware if you sense a swampy toxic scent or see a green luminescence at night growing brighter, for the swamp monster draws near.

Creatures of Neverhere
Feeding on our attention spans, the Creatures of Neverhere pull us in different and mindless directions away from the present. They have a two-stage life cycle. In their infancy known as Social Butterflies of Elsewhere, they are relatively benign and may even help us be present and connect with others at a distance. Be forewarned, however, if fed too much attention, they will grow in size and in hunger, lose their color, and their wings will rot and fester into tentacles. Their tentacles affects each individual differently, but common symptoms include: distortions of reality, gnawing sense that one is never good enough, and psychological numbing.
-
Gnome Riders aka Dino Whisperers
Hard as leather and kind as a mild breeze on a butterfly’s wing. These rugged, but compassionate, gnomes are known for their resiliency and love of the outdoors, preferring to sleep under the stars rather than a roof. When they’re not wrangling undead flamingo steeds or telling tall tales around a campfire, they can be found herding dinos and whispering guidance and encouragement along the winding path of life in the wilderness.
-
Mindwandering Flamingo
This cosmic chariot travels across time and perspectives. Part sentient being/part vehicle, riding with the giant Mindwandering Flamingo grants players the power of mental time travel. The power to travel across one’s own life story, remembering what happened in the past, perceiving what is happening in the present, and imagining what could happen in the future.

Guides
A multiclass blend of wizard, narrator, and caddie, Guides support players on their quest to free Time as they navigate through the land of Lucid Dream Minigolf.
